Every major Australian bank lets you download your transaction history as a CSV file — usually within their internet banking platform or mobile app. It takes 2–3 minutes and gives you a complete record of your transactions that you can import into any personal finance tool.
ANZ
- Log in to ANZ Internet Banking or the ANZ app
- Go to Accounts, then select your account
- Click Transactions, then choose a date range
- Click "Export" and select CSV format
- Save the file — it's ready to import
CommBank
- Log in to NetBank or the CommBank app
- Select the account you want to export
- Click "Export transactions" (desktop) or "Download" (app)
- Choose CSV as the file format and select your date range
- Download and save the file
Westpac
- Log in to Westpac Online Banking
- Go to Accounts and select your account
- Select the Transactions tab
- Click "Export transactions" and choose CSV
- Select your date range and download
NAB
- Log in to NAB Internet Banking
- Select your account from the Accounts menu
- Go to Transaction History
- Click "Export" and choose CSV format
- Set your date range and download
St George
- Log in to St George Internet Banking
- Select your account
- Go to Transaction History
- Click "Export" and select CSV
- Choose your date range and download the file
Don't see your bank?Search for “export transactions CSV” in your bank's help centre. If they offer CSV export at all — and most do — the steps will be similar to the above.
Once you have the file, head to Beholdr, select your account, and drop it in. The import takes about 30 seconds. Your transactions will be automatically sorted into categories — you don't need to do anything manually.
